Mr. Allen is a very amazing and kind man! Even though I was very little I will always remember that smiling face. Such a shame Duchesne.

Mr. Allen was an integral part of my day-to-day life at Duchesne. He was always so kind not only to me, but also to my whole family. He truly was passionate about his position at DASH and cared for the students. I am incredibly sad to see that he is no longer at Duchesne especially under these circumstances.

Mr. Alan is the "welcome home" each day of our beautiful campus. It's just a house, not a home without him there.

Remember 4th goal of the Sacred Heart--mistreating and being disrespectful to any member of the community does not build community. It tears it down and makes it unsafe for all of the members. Everyone deserves a fair hearing, and a chance to repent if guilty. One complaint without explanation is insufficient and damaging toward the Duchesne community.

I have moved far and away from Houston since graduating, but every time I'm back, I always go out of my way to stop by DASH. I drove two friends from New York just so they could finally put faces to the names of beloved faculty and see firsthand a community fostered in Christian values. Imagine my embarrassment to hear how this administration has turned to treating people that have dedicated their lives to the school, to bear witness to the irreverent reassignment of Mr. Allen who has only ever been a source of light and protection for the Duchesne family. It's in the warm and compassionate interactions he and others like him have had that kept people coming back. Mr. Allen is an institution and deserves to be treated with the same love and respect he has given us the last 28 years.

Well I can't say I'm suprised. I'm embarrassed for this school and everything they apparently "stand for". If you truly are Christian, you don't "reassign" the only person who upholds the Sacred Heart values. Truly astounding and gross. We love you Mr Allen.

When I think of Duchesne, one of the first things that always comes to mind is Mr. Allen's humorous, caring, and genuine personality. He always had a smile on his face. Whenever my mother had a liver transplant my sophomore year, he showed me so much compassion and checked on me every single day to see if I was okay. My mom was often late to pick me up in middle school and he made sure each day that I made it safely to the White House to wait for her. He even stopped by our basketball games. You name it, he was there. I cannot believe Duchesne would do such a thing. This school is certainly not the place I remember it to be. What a disgrace.

Mr. Allen dedicated his life to this school and what's happening is an injustice. Bring back Mr. Allen so he can brighten everyone's days again!

Wholeheartedly agree with Fred Johnson. Mr. Allen deserves to know the complaints made against him and has a right to defend himself, as well as his years of service taken into consideration. After so many years of service, I think we all have an idea of his character. I urge all involved to reconsider if possible.

Mr.Alan always brightened up my day. He had the biggest smile on my face and I know that I will truly miss seeing him. Duchense will not be the same without him.

C/o '02. Mr. Alan was a distinct part of my Duchesne experience from '96-02 and embodied the spirit and goals of Duchesne.
