Although I do not think this will matter one bit as it will not happen, I agree Mozilla should consider issuing more security updates for Firefox 52.9, considering it's user base. I cannot believe an XP programmer somewhere out there has not worked out how to implement HTML5 into Firefox 52.9 or how to update the browser somehow. Other "forks" of the browser are coming out, yet no-one in this world seems able take Firefox ESR 52.9 forward for XP users. Strange.

Full security doesn't exist. The maximum reachable security consists mostly of the combination of common sense (90%), an up-to-date antivirus and a hardware firewall. Without common sense (clicking Yes to every offer to install something, not knowing your PC or what it needs,...), even the latest OS won't keep you safe. Whether Windows XP (POSReady 2009) in itself is secure enough doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of security. Unfortunately, my right to self-determination is being played down by the meddlesomeness of an increasing number of software manufacturers. They should better focus on usage statistics.

I rely on a laptop with the Windows XP operating system, due to the fact that there are no compatible graphics drivers on any OS aside from XP. Please continue to provide security patches for ESR!

All this time we have been using Mozilla thus contributing to your wealth. It is time you paid out some dividends to your loyal supporters.

There were far more people using XP when Mozilla stopped support for it than there were using Linux when Mozilla started support for it. Unless you want history to show that Mozilla kowtowed to Microsoft and its FUD, and aided the effort to kill a widely popular, highly functional (though not *profitable*) operating system, you should resume Firefox ESR updates for Windows XP. Considering that there are millions of people still using XP, having a few people work on XP support in their spare time seems very reasonable. Please think with with an independent, open mind (like you used to) and do the right thing. Thank you.
