I live close to the park and I totally agree that this is an eye sore. What is the purpose or reason that they stopped mowing this area in the first place? I'm sure it's not lack of funds!

It is a shame that it has been let go like this .They are cutting corners to pay less in mowing . MOW THE PARK !!

So glad this petition was started!! It does look terrible and will become a breeding ground for snakes, ticks, fleas and other nuisances that love tall, unkempt grasses!

We have to mow our lawn on Jackson Oike because it is an ordnance, yet we live across from this disgrace. We were having the lawn sprayed and cared for, but we can't now because of the weeds seeding on our property. Eyesore allergy causing disgrace.

They are making a very beautiful little park and making it look ugly. And it is right at the very beginning, the first thing people sees. If the Park board can't handle it hire someone else.
