The Kop at the Walkers Stadium should be moved
We the undersigned believe that the Kop at the Walkers Stadium would be better moved to the North Stand. One reason is, there would be a huge increase in atmosphere. Fans like to have other fans to compete with and the combination of a moved Kop and the existing 'singing section' in the Alliance and Leicester stand, the team and therefore results would surely benefit. A third good reason is that the current 'Respect' campaign asks for supporters not to use bad language near children. In this case, how is it sensible to have the Family Stand next to the away fans, usually a very passionate and vocal area of any ground A further argument is that it might increase attendances, with benefits for atmosphere and revenue. The Kop is always the first part of the ground to sell out. Having the North Stand and South Stand available would greatly increase the amount of low priced tickets. It could be argued that the move could increase policing costs. However, there is very little trouble at The Walkers Stadium and has not been for a number of years. Surely the above points make a compelling argument for relocating The Kop. Thank you for taking the time to read our petition and we sincerely hope you will give this popular move due consideration in our 125 aniversary year.
