Scholastic Books has reviewed the book and has set it for Grade Level 9-12.
Booklist Review listed the book for Gr.10-12 and stated that the book contains, "vividly imagined domestic details that will be accessible to most older teens (and adults), particularly fans of historical romances."
Based on these reviews the book should not be accessible to middle school children.
Let's do what is best for our children by asking the board to put this book in the High school library only!!

THEY ARE TOO YOUNG FOR THIS STUFF. plain and simple. move it to the high school where it belongs.
my 7th grader brought this home and I was shocked. keep middle school stuff age appropriate please

books like this shouldn't be in a middle school library. there are plenty of other options for them to read that aren't for older teens.
