But why, oh why do we choose to suffer so?! The amount of exercise is the same; the difference is only in the amount of sweat and discomfort...

It would be a lot cooler (pun intended) if, beginning next year, we were to start in January, or at least February, instead of April. Even March would be noticeably better.
