Our county loves and honors its history. We appreciate the sacrifices made by both sides during the Civil War and would be honored to have this monument as part of our history. It would be a shame to have it "stored" somewhere never to see the light of day again because some people want to ignore history.

If the city of Louisville and UofL are so narrow minded they can't stand the monument, then relocate it to Brandenburg. We appreciate history here, and would be an amazing location for visiting and reflecting on the monument.

I personally dont think it should be moved. Should be used as a teaching tool at the UofL . Cant change history by hiding it away. Leave it as a conversation starter. But if has to be moved, the Brandenburg area is good.

Brandenburg is where I attended schools grades 1-12. It would mean a great deal to the community to have the statue brought here.

We'd be honored to have it here. We respect history. We have no desire to relegate history to a closet. Love it, or hate it, the civil war was the growing pains of a young nation. It bears remembering.

History should not be shoved into storage and politely forgotten. The city of Brandenburg would be an excellent location to memorialize Gen. John Hunt Morgan and the lives of the men who served with him.
