- DVUSD is in the process of implementing a district wide 90 min early release program next year. This early release is for teacher professional learning and is set to occur almost every Wednesday. Teachers deserve paid time for education, but it is not necessary that it occur in the middle of the week while adversely affecting community education, sports and after care. Half days currently occur on Fridays, so the most seamless transition would be to move this Wednesday early release to Friday.
