I understand that MSMC wants to assist (and almost guarantee) that the students pass the NCLEX but this fee should be paid for by the school or it should be optional for the students to decide which review course would work well for them...Who made this decision?? I remember that when I graduated with my BSN & NP it was up to "me" to decide if I wanted to take a review course....It was my life & my career...I wasn't just a statistic!!! You need to relook at yourselves and stop looking at college as a business. Take ownership!!!

How is that a fair business transaction to force someone to pay for something you gave us no forewarning on. As a customer you need to let us know what we are paying for before hand. My last name is not Edison or Gates. Literally one day notice and then tell us that we take it after we graduate for a fun funnnnnnnn 5 or 4 day prep. Not to mention the gas, time, work hours lost, and food I would also have to invest in to get there when I've officially checked out. Excuse me but after I walk off that stage I'm walking out MSMC's life! Everyone is raving about how Kaplan was really good why get rid of it. Or just give us the option. This is robbery. Where's Robin Hood???!!!

Students shouldn't be forced to take this class. If they want to take a Kaplan class or use another provider, they should be able to.

I believed this should be taken to help the students and of course to make Mount Saint Mary College look good. However, I do not believe the student should have to pay for this course as the college has so much to gain!

I believe the prep course is great FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO TAKE IT! However, not being required for the degree, I believe the student should be allowed to take the course, not forced to take it. Having faced a similar prep course for the bar (BARBRI), I paid for the course, but of my own volition. Of those who did not take the course, only approximately 50% passed.

This is completely ridiculous. We all can decide how to study for our NCLEX. I know I will not use ATI. These fees completely blindsided all of us. I was told the ATI fees are part of the curriculum and that I do not have an option to opt out of it. Though weve been paying ATI fees since freshman year and only this year did one of my instructors even decide to talk about it. It is useless.

Just because there is an demand for nurses doesn't give you a right to add more fees to there education. Thank you

This is wrong of the college administration to do this with out notification. If the administration feels the nursing students need this program it should be inclouded within the tuition, up front! This should follow through to all current Mount St Mary's nursing student's enrolled in the program.Want to charge, then do that to fall on coming freshman from there forward.

They did the same for the juniors except charged us 1250 for ATI fees.
