This is a petition to request the Government to Help rectify the current Motorcycle Parking Emergency. As motorcyclist we want the Government to Legislate against Commercial use of Public Free Motorcycle Parking Bays, Those Vehicles such as Food or parcel delivery Motorcycles taking up most of the spaces, These vehicles should be registered as Commercial and given fines when using Government provided free public parking spaces.

The feedback from riders across the city confirms that public bays remain completely blocked by delivery fleets. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the Transport Department to demand immediate enforcement of commercial parking regulations. Text this link to three fellow riders and urge your district councilors to address this bottleneck during their next session.

I do support that commercial vehicles should not take up public motorcycle parking spaces. The current lack of legislation causes a lot of suffering to private motorcycle owners who cannot park their motorcycles in the public parking areas and end up getting a traffic ticket.
bike dropped, mirror broken, cover damaged, enough is enough, and we want law for someone to notify and take ownership of dead bikes by paying some fee.
in Wan Chai (Luard Road) all the motorcycle parking areas are 7/7- 24/24 occupied by the motorbike of Deliveroo and Panda Food.!
There is complete lack of motorcycle parking in HK. Givt should be encouraging more people to ride motorcycles, they will help with the congestion problems.
It is impossible to find a motorcycle parking space that is available in Central/ Sheung Wan area. There are a couple of main reasons for this. 1: demand outweighs supply in these areas. 2: many food delivery motorcycles are constantly left in the parking bays for days without moving. More needs to be done

In a crammed city like HK, the use of vehicles that occupy minimal footprint space and consequently help reduce traffic congestions and ease daily commuting, should be encouraged by the Hong Kong government. However, the current shortage of legal parking spaces, be them free of charge or pay for, is a real deterrent. We want more parking spaces. And I for one would not mind to have the spaces regulated with an hourly or a daily fee. I would rather pay, knowing that the space occupied by my vehicle will be only for my vehicle, than finding out, when collecting the vehicle, that another road user thought it was OK to wedge their vehicle in between other vehicles, often causing costly damages in the process!
