On 9th January 2020, the 1993-94 BBC puppet comedy-drama series Mortimer and Arabel, based on the 1972 book Arabel's Raven by Joan Aiken, was uploaded in full on YouTube by the site's then-user "British Yesterdays", but after just a month, their account was terminated due to multiple third-party notices of copyright infringement; as such, it might never be seen (at least, in English) again, because even though its first series was released on VHS in 1994, it is now out of print and extremely hard to find these days. This petition is for you to sign if you also enjoyed this series during its brief time on BBC television in the mid-1990s, and are saddened by the fact that it is no longer available to watch in its original format on YouTube after such a short time - after all, a later BBC drama series based on a now-deleted book, The Demon Headmaster (1995-98, but only its first and second series from 1995-96 were good, because of the rebrand) was released on DVD in 2018, so why cannot this one be?
