We, the undersigned, urge the Morris City Council to take action now on developing a swimming pool for the people of Morris and beyond. The time is ripe: a swimming pool could be included in the development of the old elementary school property.

Among the powerful reasons for having a swimming pool in Morris:

People and their dollars stay in Morris (rather than traveling to the Benson pool)

A pool is safe and fun recreation for people of all ages

A pool will make Morris an attractive home for new employees, and businesses will more easily find new employees

If the pool is located at the old elementary school property, then a pool will be a public legacy on what was public property

Smart, fun, healthy growth encourages more smart, fun healthy growth!
