Sir the president of USA my grandparents are from the sahara and i remember very well when i was 10 years old the photos of his majesty king mohamed 5 and hasan 2 with may god accept them in his paradise with our moroccan flag at the top From the front door of our house the Sahrawis were always and for centuries Moroccan and will remain so forever, Morocco is a faithful ally to America and Morocco was the first country to admit America as a free country and I am sure that the American state which is the conservator of peace and freedom of peoples will always be listening to Moroccan peoples who are the example of peace between the 3 religions where there is room for Moroccans Muslims, Jews, Christians also automatically there is room for Sahrawis like me. the Moroccan peoples need your support against a neighboring Algerian military regime which unfortunately holds 40 million Algerians hostage and does not stop creating problems for Morocco to try to block the development of our country so that all countries Neighbors never advance and that he will continue to steal the wealth of his people by buying Russian weapons and hanging commissions. finally allow me mr president to congratulate you on my name and my little saharawi family and on you the american people brother of the choice of your personality as president of america and i am that you are the right choice for an america always developed that will take care of liberties and ensure the sovereignty of friendly peoples like Morocco. Best regards ElMahdi Kerchoub

As American Moroccan members of the Washington Moroccan American Club, we have full confidence in your wise judgements and well thought decisions. We are asking you to take in consideration the motives of such a move from some members of the senate which we find unhelpful. As American Moroccans we hold deep love and respect to our country of origin as well as to our great nation the United States of America. Reversing the US recognition of Moroccan sovereignty of the Sahara will only hurt us and undermine the historical ties that unite Morocco and the United Sates. Such a decision will lead to the voices of violence and separation to grow stronger in the region. We know, Mr. President, the extent of your belief and conviction in the role of peace and negotiations, and we also know that the autonomy solution under Moroccan sovereignty proposed by Morocco enjoys international support. The Moroccan Sahara is considered the gateway to Africa for development, prosperity and the fight against extremism, all of which are in our interest as Americans and Moroccans who still have family and historical ties that cannot be erased. We hope that the voice of wisdom and reason will prevail over the voice of division. Respectfully,
