I have heard rumblings about what has occurred at St. Peters with the Principal and Lisa Smith have not heard anything in particular about what occurred. Can someone provide a little more insight into the situation? Thank you!

We left the school and church in 2020. The major changes rapidly taking place by leadership did not align with our values. It has been so disheartening to see families and staff exiled from the school for speaking up. I am relived to see the community coming together on this.

I was a staff member, PTO board member, church member and had 2 children enrolled in the school. My story of how it all unraveled leaves a hole in my heart and a loss in faith.

The direction currently being taken by the school is compromising the potential for academic success among students by removing excellent teachers, who are incredibly important assets, from the school. This direction in staff should be changed for both the academic enrichment of current and future students as well as to keep more of the current and outstanding staff that help to make the school what it is.

I have to say Saint Peter has well prepared my children for high school. The education the teachers were awesome. They were on honor roll in junior high and in high school.

As a parent and a D214 math teacher, I am very concerned about the lowered academic standards in our school and the inability to retain qualified, exceptional teachers. Lisa Smith was the reason why I still had confidence in our school. If we don’t change, our students will not be prepared for the rigorous high schools in our area.

13 years of our life was spent involved in the church, sports programs, and fellowship. We left the school because our daughter needed more attention than St. Peter could give us. After all of those years of serving, paying tuition, and just giving our time to the church and community, not one inquiry as to why we left or what could be done to keep us to stay. It’s like we never existed. We have met so many wonderful people and friends through the years of community and worship. We feel violated and some loss of faith as to how all of the events played out. I have a deep void in my heart. St Peter had such a strong presence and loving congregation. If things do not change the whole thing may just implode and cease to exist.

As a former school family, we are very sad about the direction St Peter school has gone. I have listened to many friends and staff members discuss issues with the current situation. Very sad indeed

We don't want to see Mrs. Smith go. She's been an outstanding teacher.

What happened to Jennifer Graf on the school side was not handled well at all. So many families were hurt over this. Heartbreaking!!
