URGENT: More Traffic Cops Needed In The Humberside Police Force Area!

This really needs to be looked into...this is what you get paid for...To many people are losing their lives because of this....

Yup we need more police on the roads to catch the drunk/drugged drivers and those using their mobile phones. Then we need proper sentencing when they go to court.

I see too much idiocy on the local motorways plus people treat the 40mph dual carriageway outside my home like a race track at night.

Need more police to monitor accidents, speed limits, drunk drivers and drugged drivers!!!! With so many concerned citizens and many who don't have jobs, it would be a wise decision to be flexible and hire and train people.

Need more police period! Crime going through the roof.

my friend was killed on this road i myself have nearly been wiped out on the same crossing please do something to make beverley road in hull safe.

My son Tony Blount was killed by a drunk driver, and my other son Stephen was seriously hurt and is now disabled when the car hit them, and my son in law Mike Mortimer back in 2006. The pain doesn't get any easier as time passes.

The damage done by drunk drivers never heals. They should be held accountable for their actions come and be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Not only them, but the establishments who continue to serve them beyond safe limits.

Far to many road accidents. The public need to have more protection .

Before the first PCCs`election, I, on behalf of the CTC (now Cycling UK), the national cycling charity, appealed for more traffic police, but have seen very little improvement.

Disappointed to see so many drivers breaking the speed limits by at least 15 to 30 mph and never stopped by police. Crazy! more unmarked police cars, please

I live on a main road with a tight bend with virtually no restrictions so moe presence would certainly be a huge help

I am a cyclist and scooter rider and feel that I risk my life every single day. I see motorist overtaking me at 40mph in a 30 zone. Over and under taking me at juctions and roundabouts and pure risk taking and reckless driving attitutes with not 1 police officer in sight and it has to STOP now before more lives are needlesly lost

The amount of motor vehicle traffic on the roads is increasing year on year yet the amount of police resources dedicated to policing that traffic has reduced; the number of traffic officers in the Humberside Police area has reduced by over 10% in the past decade. Over 3 times as many people in the UK are killed as a result of “road crime” than they are murdered. Yet “road crime” isn’t treated as a “real” crime, any attempts to reduce it are just seen as “a war on motorists”, you don’t get the same calls of “war on shop lifters” for example. I fully support this petition and call on the Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner to make sure Humberside Police are doing their job properly in protecting people for crime, that includes protecting them from death or injury that results from “road crime” !

We need more traffic police on the roads to prevent accidents and also prosecute drivers using there mobile phones while driving.

This road needs sorting out and Urgently before more Death Occur
