STEM is a curriculum based on educating students in science, technology, engineering and math through real world applications. Many Aboriginal communities throughout Canada lack STEM opportunities because of minimal funding for programs and resources. This prevents Aboriginal youth from having opportunities in a variety of careers and make change in the world around them.
