Purpose: To allow the inclusion of pre-college activities on college transfer resumes (up to the past 4 years).
Especially for first-year transfers, it is really hard for resumes to look impressive if admissions only allows activities of the past year. Freshmen planning on transferring colleges within a University are not only expected to adjust quickly, but are also expected to keep high grades, show leadership in organizations, and possibly get internships all within two semesters. This burden can be lessened with the inclusion of past activities and involvement.

I am currently drafting a formal proposal to outline how adjusting the timeline for extracurricular history will benefit transfer applicants. This document will be submitted to the admissions committee once the final revisions are complete to initiate a direct review of the current policy.

The increase in support demonstrates a clear consensus that the current transfer resume policy creates an unnecessary burden on new students. I am now formalizing these concerns into a document to present to the undergraduate admissions committee.

FRESHMAN YEAR IS HARD ENOUGH WITHOUT HAVING TO REINVENT THE WHEEL. DUMB RULE.
this is so true. i worked my butt off in high school and it feels like none of that matters for transfer apps. let us show our hard work.
