We should have a choice in our area on where we receive our care. We should not have just one provider in the area, this forces some to not have the needed surgery or others going to Atlanta for surgery.

The CON program is broken. Officials denied Floyd their request to start a heart bypass program. But Floyd does everything else a program does - catheterizations, angioplasty, placing stints. Health officials granted the other hospital the right to build a maternity program when OB's in our area said it was not needed. I say again the CON program is broken.

NW GA so very much needs a nonprofit's approach to healthcare and access for all. The underserved population especially needs access to Heart Surgery. Make a difference! Save lives by allowing Floyd to offer this service, please!
