I absolutely love this show. It's funny, it's clever, it's charming, and I can't get enough. The tone is reminiscent of The Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and Ella Enchanted, BBC's Merlin. The show is filled with hilarious jokes, breaking the fourth wall, and British humor, yet oddly enough isn't available in the UK. It's just a matter of type before Eric Idle or John Cheese makes an appearance, I can just feel it. The musical theatre flourish is a perfect compliment to the wit and tone, and in true Disney fashion, the songs are catchy and meaningful. There are even references to and parodies of other well known musicals. This self-aware show knew its ratings were low, but it valiantly pushed on and delivered a comedic show worthy of an award. I just can't see it ended after only two seasons.
