I got the same problem on my van and after i brought it to the dealer 3 times for that. They changed the valve body to didnt change anything. Now they still doesnt want to fix her up. I own her for two long years with only 50000km. It is pretty sad for a 45000$ vehicle.

My 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan lost all gears after making a left turn. The car bucked and then there was nothing.

My transmission when doing highway speed and down shifts to like 2nd gear or something

After i had my trans flushed and serviced at Dodge, it still does the same thing, searches for the correct gear up to cruising speed.

Hard clunk during downshifts and shifting to reverse. Its been going on a while and now getting worse. Right now have 110k on thie 2012 r/t.

post on www.CarComplaints.com , there are star case #'s under 2012 Carvan for engine & transmission there , nothing but problems ....chrysler need to recall or replace these.

My transmission had a faulty line and leaked fluid. Chrysler refuses to replace the transmission

Vehicle has been in shop 5 times since October of 2016 (three times at dealerships & 2 in transmission shop). Replaced solenoid shift pack and serviced the transmission (fluid was clean), replaced the pcm and integrated power module. Wiring harness checked twice by shops. Vehicle is still in limp mode and I am now replacing the mentioned parts for the 2nd time. The last dealership said it would be very difficult to repair this van......115,000 miles, what the heck!!!

The 62 TE transmission has no dip stick. A person checking the fluid levels cannot do so appropriately which. an cause the transmission to fail. Chrysler should start issuing dip sticks for these transmission in an attempt to prevent the transmissions from failing. I bought a 2008 Town and Country with this transmission and it requires the person to take it back to the dealers where they over charge you for service. These transmissions have a noticeable problem which when driving and coming to a stop the vehicle transmissions jerk forward, which may cause an accident. Chrysler needs to recall these vehicles and correct this problem, before someone has an accident.
