We should sit and listen to what they have to say, this project should be treated the same way as OPG, Detour and Debeers, which involved community ratification, which missing with the Niobay Metals!!

Leave the land alone...

As a Lead Negotiator that I was put on hold, on the West Detour Gold file from the Band Council Resolution (BCR) Reference #2015/16-1336 the Chief and Council signed and the Letter dated January 15, 2016 to Paul Martin, President to begin between MCFN Negotiation Team and Detour Gold, for the proposed Development of West Detour Project and in particular the required Environmental Study Report to be reviewed, assessed by MCFN on the West Detour. It is also required a MCFN consultation requirements and discussion with between the Federal, Provincial Governments . MCFN must express its traditional, cultural values by consultation and accommodation process meeting the Federal, Provincial commitments and responsibilities. The Moose Cree Resource Protection, Terms of Reference mandate to exercise these rights and preserve our ways of life that has been threatened and continues to be threatened by the continued activities of mining and resource development companies operating within our traditional territory. The impact of these activities on our way of life, cultural and spiritual sites, trails, trap lines, hunting and fishing camps will contribute to a sense of loss, and the undermining of social, cultural and spiritual values as well as the domestic economy if we not monitor or discuss these matters . We have to put these issues on the table as we negotiation with mining, energy and forestry development companies that we can be compensated, royalties and to create employment and training for our businesses and youth opportunities.

Perhaps it is time to revisit the way we do business. There has always been a concern about a MCFN Corporation competing with MCFN businesses that are privately owned or even competing with individuals. This is how dreams and visions of our people get squashed and hopelessness sets in. Perhaps it is time to privatize the corporation and have it jointly owned by a MCFN consortium. We may have outgrown the concept.

The time is now to engage these companies and capitalize on opportunities...speaking on behalf of the membership without their support or knowledge is not good leadership!

Professionalism should be maintained. People in power should not abuse their position of influence. That is called "bullying" as in LATERAL VIOLENCE.

Moose Cree people should be given the freedom to chose...

The cost of living is becoming far too great and we should not pass up the opportunity Niobay has put on the table.

No screening workers from the top, that hold a family grudge, should be included, like I was
