It is unfortunate and I think the sentence is a very harsh one, I would like to add my voice to my colleagues to appeal to H.E the president to use the powers vested in him by article 72 of the 1992 Constitution to pardon the muntie trio.

This is not to force the executive but to plea so as also to protect freedom of speech in Ghana not to also say Ghanaians can take the law for granted and abuse our public officers and government officials.

Sir John on Oman FM threatened Supreme Court judges. He said the family of the Judges must prepare the coffins for their funerals. At their trial, NDC lawyers pleaded for him. Host was not invited. The owners were not invited. He was fined ghc 5,000, even the fine was paid by NDC chairman and others
Please the SC should have temped justice with mercy.

Freedom of speech and freedom of the media are cherished by all of us. However, this needs to be applied prudently. Abraham Lincoln said that the fruits of mercy are richer than strict justice. Your Excellency we plead for mercy.
