Monponsett Pond Contamination

Two lakes are right next to each other and only one is always at toxic levels of bacteria..... The picture is worth 1000 words!

Needs to be cleaned up for our future.

Such a nice spot to go out on a boat but the waters gross. Wish it was clean enough to swim in.

I've lived on this lake for 27 years. This situation has been going on way too long. It's a shame!

Please help or ponds!

It's disgusting. Something needs to be done!

I have lived on East Monponsett for 23 years and I have observed the decline in water quality. I was recently diagnosed with IPF- idopathic pulmonary fibrosis, I'm not sure if it is related to airborne particles from the algae. I had a neighbor that died from IPF several years ago,

I have lived in Halifax since March of 1973 and brought up 3 daughters here. I certainly miss the beautiful clean and clear west Monponsett and am disgusted with all the delays in doing something about the algae and pollutants. Hate to be cliche but Halifax and the other towns affected "matter".

Please clean up the lake water so our children may enjoy it. We need a permanent fix, not a band-aid.

We desperately need your help with this problem. Thank You, in advance, for anything you can do.

This is not something that citizens should have to ask for, the state should step in immediately to solve this problem.

This should be taken seriously. I've lived here for 50 years and the decline in the past 15 to 20 years has been rapid.

What the use of having these beautiful ponds if we cant spend a little extra time and money to keep them clean... nevermind the fact that it's used as Brockton's drinking water supply!!!

Please clean this up. It's a health hazard to all.
