The team will be open to any students interested in joiningbut their membershipis contingent onthat they attend practice and pay their respective dues; tryouts are not necessary. Rowing is not just a sport, but also an experience that will foster maturation,leadership, and character development among it's athletes. Rowing for just two years at TCNJ has transformed me into a more physically strong and mentally competent student.If it weren't forrowing I would have no chanceof becoming a college athlete. Modeled afterthe TCNJ team, Monmouth Crewwill allow anybody to become an NCAA athlete, as long as they put in the work.The benefits to having a rowing program atMonmouth are enormous.The program canprovide a stimulating college experience for students of all backgrounds and teach them the discipline and leadership skills needed to succeed later in life. However, acquiring thefunding forthis is difficult.
