Really perplexed at how this could even have started. How people grieve and pay their respects to their loved ones is no ones business but their own.

To visit a love one and place objects, such as toys especially for children is important to make it slightly easier for those who are greiving.

Absolutely discusted that this has been raised as an issue, gifts and tributes are a sign of respect and love not a nucence or seen as rubbish or clutter

Whoever has decided this should be enforced clearly has never been in the situation where they realise things like this help the grieving process.

I find this extremley upsetting. Having recently lost a 4 year old member of our family I know the comfort it brings being able to visit and leave little gifts and tokens for him. How can tell a grieving family what's appropriate when grief is such a personal journey

This is wrong I can't believe that a grieving relative / friend are no longer aloud to leave items of sentimental value on their loved ones last resting place . Disgusting

I personally know that this has upset people. I don't see the harm in having personal tributes on a plot.

''Current churchyard regulations''? What were the previous churchyard regulations? When were the current regulations decided upon? Who decided upon them? Were families of loved ones resting in the churchyard asked for their thoughts or were their feelings considered? We all mourn our loved ones in our own way - and this should be respected above all else.

This is an outrageous idea ! Grieving is a personal thing ! I lost my grandson aged four and the joy we as a family have had with little tokens of live and affection that have been left by his teachers his friends and all those who loved him ,

I don't see how plastic flowers or ornaments are doing any harm. All other church yards have things. Surely it up yo the friends and relatives what they decorate their loved ones graves with?

It's sad that we are not able to place memorial items that do not perish on the stones of our loved ones!

People should be able to put anything they like on a loved ones grave.
