We were told the headstone could only be a certain colour. The same for the inscription. Dictatorship at its finest.

There is no grass on my dad's grave, only fresh earth and flowers we have planted, yet he took my daughters stone away.

I thought you owned the ground. You can't stop people putting gifts on loved ones graves. It helps them grieve

What harm does having items of remembrance on a loved ones resting place.I also have had items removed from our local cemetary. I needed to give a gift of love when i visited and it felt that someone had stolen from me and my pop. This is unnecessary and at best a few items should be allowed.

Please, please let parents keep their children's graves with toys and memorabilia. Isn't it bad enough They've had to bury their child. The church is supposed to be about caring. Please demonstrate this. Thank you.

Reading this just makes me cry. People have know respect for the dead and to think that the vicar is for this makes me sick!!!!

Why?. this is a English Church yes?, people have been leaving flowers & ornaments for many year's even back in the Victorian age. there is no law in this English Country to say you can not do this. Now some Churches has up dated there Church so that when you go to there Church you are nice and warm they give out tea or coffee & juice for the kids & free cake or biscuits & that's before you get started. They have put out more benches so you can sit on so you can have more time to be with your loved one. You have made more room so more people can be buried at your Church. You must be out of your mine to treat your Congregation in this way how dare you tell people what they can & can't put on there loved one's grave. You do not turn people away if they wish to have there loved one buried at your Church as the money they have to pay for the funeral & all the bits add on help's to keep you in a job, keep's the up keep of your Church & how can you do this to all the people who has supported you through the year's fundraising to help keep thing's looking nice. How can you destroy people's hearts as this is for some is the only thing keeping them going,

My daughters stone was removed from her grandads grave. The whole family has been so upset by this and my mum was in tears. My daughter wanted her grandad to have the stone to say how much she is missing him. If my dad were looking down on us, he would be devastated that her little stone message to him has been taken away and by the vicar of all people! My dad only passed last August, it is all so unbelievable. We thought children had taken it. You would have thought a vicar would have more morals and compassion.

I have been a bereavement counsellor for over 20 years. It's so important to allow people to grieve their own way and in their own time. I am surprised that the church doesn't show more compassion and support when it's needed most.

I regularly visit the churchyard and I'm proud of the way it's maintained however why does health and safety have to interfere with our loved ones I haven't seen any excessive displays are you sure your birdboxes won't require us to wear hard hats and sign a register when we visit our loved ones don't forget we do appreciate the way it's kept an we donate to help with cost leave us to grieve surely that would be a Christian act.

My grandad is burried there I would be like to put fresh flowers down in the grave yard as its not fair on me and my family I am signing this because I disagree with the thought of it I'm not having it
