I am calling on management to sign this petition to show your support. Change doesn’t happen unless something is said. I know that many people probably feel this way and by getting enough agreements maybe together we can get people on the board and corporate office to listen without the fear of the whistle blower getting fired.

Happy Employees = Happy Guest = Increased Revenue = Increased Profit. That is supposed to be the corporate service profit chain. We attempt live by this when doing business. As a company we do this well with employees. However, it has been lost that keeping management happy is also key to making sure employees are happy. Giving worse raises out after a performance year is not only a slap in the face but going against their own service profit chain.

Pay structure is beyond broken. There are common instances of Bussers/Servers making more than the Assistant Managers and sometimes the General Managers. This entices those in leadership roles to drop down, get a better schedule, less responsibility, and not take a pay cut while most of the time keeping all benefits. There are instances of General Managers making more than the Regional Trainers. None of these seem like a model of fair pay. The pay structure of B, A, & AA is also shattered.

The problems have been outlined. Now it is time to give you an Idea of how to fix the problem.

Restructure the pay scales and add a BB category and use a sliding scale for pay based on time with company and position. Not a range that means you get screwed if you move up, or make the pay the same for a B manager to drop down and work as an assistant in a AA store.

Either make 2nd assistant managers hourly or give them a raise so they can live without having a second job.

Make 1st assistants salaried, reevaluate how big of an increase a B, A, AA gets.

Or the simplest and probably the best employee satisfier, give benefits to management such as, FLEX time, more paid holidays, more management so you don’t have to work 14 hour days on your feet constantly. With our current work week you are not able to see your children or have time for your spouse.

If something isn’t done, you’re going to find more and more management stepping down to be an employee. The benefits of being in a higher position are getting worse and worse every year. There is no incentive to meet the corporate goals because if you don’t get a fair raise for doing a good job why even try when you won’t get rewarded for doing so.

This petition was worded eloquently. I will not lie when I heard of my raise this year, after putting forth my absolute best effort I considered stepping down as well

It's appalling to me that a company so oriented around employee satisfaction does take care of its lower employees however when it comes to management it supremely falls short. Employees get raises, not a inflation adjustment and it seems that management will only get cost-of-living adjustments if you're doing a good job you should definitely get a raise not a living adjustment because the living wage. The starting salary is sub par. It isnt a reasonable amount to live in most of the communities for example st.joseph. expecially considering you want your management take part in communities. Thethe facial hair policy that everyone else is commenting on seems that it definitely needs to be re-evaluated. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's too many people in the leadership positions within the company that really think that this is a subject that needs to be addressed. I have worked here a long time and I would like to tell you that what the friends and family co-workers and superiors that I have came into contact with over the years would be enough to keep me here however Money Talks quite a bit when you're trying to live your life. If something came up tomorrow I'm not even sure if I give a two week notice. Most assistant managers have to have roommates because they don't make a livable wage to live on their own and if it's expected of them to hunt have roommates with your employees. You see them more than your own family or spouse.

If your employees are not happy how are you going to have happy customers? This includes managers. You have to treat everyone fairly and pay them for the work they do, the hours they work and the years of service everyone should get the same percentage of a raise.

No time with your family at all is on key! 45 hours with the schedule guidelines is unrealistic. Home of the family divorcer.

I also believe the facial hair policy needs to be reevaluated. I think it is very outdated this would also make a huge difference in employee satisfaction
