The administration continues to hold onto funds that should be supporting students in need. Email the university board today to demand they redirect this money back into our local hardship accounts.

This money should certainly be used in a way that makes a positive impact on students' education. In the long term that is what the lecturers are fighting for; this is not just about money in lecturers' pockets now, but who will want to work in universities like Chester in the future if staff are treated in this way? Top quality academics? I don't think so.
When funds are being cut, the noney sacrificed by our lecturers should be donated to students who need it the most!
I pay £8,000 a year, an increase of £5,000 than the year above me. If my money isn't going to the lecturers, then where is it going? I expect every University to respect those who work for their institution.
Ideally management would stop being so stingy and reward our lecturers for their hard work but in the meantime we might as well make the best of a bad situation!
Let use the money for something good inseat of giving it to people who don't deserve it
Support & Academic staff should get at least inflation.

I fully support the staff decisions to strike and for further actions, as if equality can't be found in a university institution, where can it? But that it had to happen, resulting in lecturers losing pay, I agree that money should go towards the hardship fund. Somewhere us students can see it being used fairly and equally.
