I am a Republican with children who went to a Catholic school from K-8 and are now at a public high school. Even when my children attended a private school, we were very conscious of the importance of funding public education. It should be the last place where funds are cut. Do we really want Arizona to continue to be at the bottom of per pupil spending? Teachers, students and the state of Arizona deserves better.

This petition states my feelings perfectly. Additional cuts to education and the notion of shifting costs to the classroom does nothing more than decrease necessary services for our children in other areas like counseling, food service, transportation and security. This is equally important as classroom dollars. I have faith in my public school district administrators that they are fairly and correctly allocating our funds to the best benefit of
