List of demands of the parents of Mommy Poppins

We are very much concerned with the situation in the kindergarten, especially with the far too high fluctuation of teachers. Children need a minimum of continuity. Therefore we are urgently asking the management to do everything to keep good teachers on board from now on. We identified overall working conditions as being the basic reason for the situation which is stressful for our children and teachers alike.

We call for:

1. Pedagogically QUALIFIED TEACHERS - native speaker, at least as the head teachers in every class are concerned;

2. Two teachers in every class (max. 16 kids);

3. A fulltime ASSISTANT IN EVERY CLASS to take over tasks that draw away teachers attention from the children (like cleaning up after lunch, toilets) and helps with preparations material- etc;

4. Working BREAKS and opportunities to eat for all teachers;

5. TIME FOR PREPARATIONAL WORK for teachers and reports within paid working hours;

6. CONSISTENT TEACHING PROGRAMS for more than one week;

7. IMPROVEMENTS IN COMMUNICATION. We opt to open a parents comittee, headed by speakers of every class, which regularly talks with the management about concerns and IS TAKEN SERIOUSLY;

8. FOTOS FROM FOOD AND DISHES on daily bases to be provided; unexpected visits by parents during eating hours.

9. Weekly report from each group;

10. Monthly report from extra classes.

We'd welcome to hear the perspective FROM ZUZANNA regarding our concerns. At the same time, we ask her to tell us as soon as possible which of these demands she likes to meet and in what period of time it will be possible to realize.

We want to stress that we are serious. We consider to undertake further steps should substantial changes fail to appear. At the same time we would like to rebuild trust and cooperate in making Mommy Poppins a better place again, maybe exactly that place its owner once dreamt about. We would prefer to stay.
