The undersigned do hereby Petition the Michigan State Legislature to pass a law that requires the State Insurance Commissioner to ensure that all Insurance Policies covering Real Property disclose in conspicuous language whether the policy covers mold and its toxins, what caps are applicable and the right of the insured to elect unrestricted coverage at a reasonable stated cost and to further require all persons adjusting claims as to mold on the behalf of the insured to describe the dangers of mold exposure.
The momentum around this issue is shifting rapidly. Incredible to see so many people demanding transparency in our insurance policies.

INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE ROBBING US. they hide everything in the fine print and when you actually need help they say it is not covered. total joke.

My kids have been sick for months because of the black mold in our apartment. The landlord acts like it is not a big deal but my doctor says otherwise. This needs to change now.
