The service upgrades are officially confirmed and this is entirely because you kept the pressure on until they finally listened. I am honestly stunned we got this result but it belongs to all of you who logged your experiences. Please keep an eye on your signal bars as the work …
This is a petition to be handed to both Hon Ian Macfarlane MP Federal Member for Groom and the Telstra complains department. This is due to the lack of quality and reliable service in the areas in between Goombungee, Highfields and Oakey.
I really never imagined this many people would relate to the connectivity struggles we face in Meringandan West. It is clear this is a shared frustration and the momentum you have all created belongs entirely to you.

We live in the area behind the Meringandan Pub and we have little to Mobile service which is an incovenience and costs us an extra $200 a month because it leave us no choice but to have a home phone aswell as mobile services

Reception is poor. Reside in Kleinton, and struggle to receive the minimum one bar of service, often no service at all. With a thriving population which is constantly expanding, plus a new High School, and countless developments in the area, a case can be made that coverage is needed, not just wanted.

This is a very serious safety issue for thousands of peopke who live, work and travel in this area. Rural accidents and crime statistics are growing and mobike coverage is essential.

The only possible option for me at home is Telstra 3G and at times it takes several minutes just to load the Google home page because the signal is so weak. We have a kid starting high school this year and with zero internet access I'm not too sure yet how this will affect his secondary education. P.S. We're 10 minutes drive from Toowoomba.

I live in Meringandan West and have unreliable phone service. My home phone has not worked for the past 2 weeks and this is the second time since end of October. Our mobiles have a blue country tick and only work when sitting on the end of the kitchenbench.

We cant even get the internet due to no ports available in our brand new estate. Apparently they put in 3 ports for 30 houses. Service out here is appalling too. Can only talk on mobile phone while outside and sometimes in lounge area. If you move to bedrooms or kitchen nothing.

We had to wait for 2 years after moving to Meringandan West before getting Internet as ports were not available. Mobile reception very poor.
