MN Homeschoolers Against MACHE's Xenophobic Statements

So disappointing. Hope there is an apology immediately.

As second generation Asian American this hurts so much!

I am also a Christian and a homeschooler and this is shameful. This is not what Jesus would do. He loved and included EVERYONE.

We are thankful that we have the freedom to teach our children to love their neighbors.- All of them.

This is appalling language to put forth and an embarrassment for the Minnesota Christian homeschool community.

This is incredibly sad, hateful, and unprofessional, as well as xenophobic. I hope MACHE addresses this situation quickly. I’m not currently a member, so maybe my thoughts won’t mean much, but I certainly wouldn’t want to be a member of an organization that makes these sorts of comments. Such a terrible representation of Minnesota’s homeschool community.

I will not be part of an organization that perpetuates such hate. Shame on you.

Yes you do have the privilege to train up your children. What would Christ say about training them to be fearful of their neighbors? Maybe reread the parable of the Good Samaritan. Maybe just reread all of the New Testament.

As a Christian home educator, this language disturbed me. How can you not just type out the scientific name for the disease?

Absolutely vile. An immediate retraction and apology is needed. As a Christian, I am appalled by this extremely un-Christian behavior.

There is no place for this. Be kind!

As someone who was homeschooled my entire life, MACHE was a well known organization to me. I am now married to an Asian man and if I choose to homeschool I will be homeschooling half Asian children. This rhetoric used by MACHE would give me serious reservations in participating with MACHE in the future.

Stop spreading hate!

Do the right thing. Let's not make homeschooling anymore alienating for racial groups than it can already be for most.

Love God and neighbor, not political agendas.
