These improvements are long overdue for children and adults to have safe sidewalks and streets to walk, push strollers, run, ride bikes and all the things we LOVE to do in the MK!!

The sidewalks are very unsafe on the 5600 block of central. My daughters have tripped many times, it is too bumpy to push a stroller forcing people to walk in the street- which is still very bumpy. Please repair!!!

I am a teacher at IHM and see the need for safe sidewalks in this neighborhood, as many of our students walk to school every day!

My family and I have lived in Meridian Kessler for 25 years. The first 7 years, we owned a home in the 5300 block of Central Ave. Since 1999, we've resided in the 5600 block of Central Ave. In 25 years, the sidewalks and street have only received minor, random patches. Both the street and sidewalks are in horrible condition! Several dozen children & parents walk and ride bikes to CFI School 84 and Immaculate Heart of Mary School on a daily basis. I've personally witnessed numerous children trip and fall on the eroding sidewalks. In addition the school crossing walk curbs at the corner of 57th and Central are not handicap accessible, which is a code violation. The SRTS federal grant was awarded to these two schools in 2012. Please include the remaining funds needed in the budget to complete this important and long overdue project in the 2018. Thank you.

We live on this stretch, and the sidewalks are horrible. And being one of the main routes for foot traffic to two schools is pure negligence on the city's part for never addressing it. The street is also pathetic and I purposely avoid it by going on Washington Blvd (to get to my own house!). And thanks, City, for striping the streets a couple of weeks ago to try and appease us by putting lipstick on your pig.

The sidewalks on Central Avenue from 56th to 57th Street are in desperate need of replacement. The same section of street also needs repaving.
