We oppose this proposed rezoning unless a more optimal plan is presented by the developer.

Contrary to the self-serving comments of the developer, the proposed use of this land is neither "much needed" or "ideal land use" for this area. The proposed development carries much more density than surrounding areas, and lacks large setbacks that are typical of this rural roadway. There are clear deficiencies, including poor use of open space and lacks substantive layouts for buildings and parking. Increased traffic and over-crowding of already crowded classrooms is unacceptable. The development does not match the current rural feel of the area, nor does it coexist well with the current neighborhoods directly across the street. Property values of current homeowners in the area will surely fall.
