I bought my car used with 48000 miles. the tarmac light was flashing, which at the moment I had no idea what it meant. Now at 68000 miles I am with out a pump. Mine was corroded and that is how "died"

There should be a recall to fix the issues many people are having and for rest it is just a matter of time before it happens.

The pump had failed before I purchased the vehicle from a dealership and they refused to fix it. I acquired the car at 96,xxx km

Should have at least used an oil that can withstand the cold.

I got 4400kms on my gsr and it freaked out at me two nights ago while the car was warming up. Couldnt change any settings or nothing like the pump failure. Hasnt done it since but its minus 30 today so who knows

This is a serious problem that is costing Mitsubishi owners a lot of money. There is no reason why this can't be fixed. If this problem continues no one will want to own an EVO or Ralliart and mitsubishi's market share will decrease even more. This is your flagship model and there is a serious flaw. This needs to be fixed not only for your most valuable customers but also to help with your brand image.
