To me this is a huge problem in our government and our society. When we know this is a life and will do nothing about it!

I have been opposed to abortion all my life. Horrible things are being done to unborn babies, and aborted babies born alive, that would never be considered for those guilty of the most horrific crimes. This is a travesty of justice for those tiny babies. Moreover, it is clear that when a woman is pregnant, if she wants the baby, she sports a "baby bump." If she doesn't want the baby, she has a "fetus." The right to life of people who have been born is not dependent on whether or not their mother wants them. Neither should the right to life of the unborn. Thomas Jefferson declared that we have an "unalienable . . .right to life . . ." in our first national document. Like it or not, life comes about through the pregnancy of the mother. There is plenty of birth control available to women these days. There is no excuse for abortion. I say this as the mother of four, none of which were planned, and none of which were conceived at a time convenient for me; two of which it would have been illegal to abort, and two of which doctors offered to abort.
