She's such an amazing teacher with so many experiences to share with her students. Miss Latchman is fantastic in every way, and she shows so much commitment and care to her students. She is a good person to even just talk about random things. She is super cool and has a very very chill personality. I love her!! :)

Although I've never had Ms. Latchman, I've heard many nice stories about her. I've also seen her many times at the library helping out students that weren't even hers. For example, she helped my friend out by looking over his I-Search interview questions right before the interview, when he needed it the most. This shows that she cares a lot about students in general, not just about her own. Through this single act alone, I can tell that she truly loves teaching and deserves the chance to stay at Stuy.

Miss Latchman was the one teacher in my many years as a student that truly made me enjoy a class. I couldn't agree more that she deserves to stay in Stuy. She is one of the few teachers that actually meant it when she said she wanted to get to know her students. In a school full of introverts, Miss Latchman would motivate us to come out of that introvert-like behavior and share out our ideas in the class. I feel as though her experiences in Stuy herself made her understand what it's like to be a student just like one of us which is rare among the many teachers at Stuy.

Miss Latchman is the real deal. I didn't get to have her as a teacher, but we talk sometimes in the English office and she's really cool and interesting. She's definitely a keeper (in terms of being an English teacher at Stuy) because she gets us. She knows what it's like to be a Stuy student and we need that from our teachers. Also, it wouldn't hurt to add another amazing teacher to the English department.

Miss Latchman is amazing. I've never enjoyed an English class more than I enjoyed hers. She engages the class in interesting class discussions as well as interactive activities. In addition, she connects with her students extremely well. Please keep her at Stuyvesant as I sincerely believe that she will help future generations of students develop not only as English students, but also as people.

Miss Latchman is the only person in the grim building of Stuyvesant who I felt loves her students to the minute cells of their biology. Sure, we had misunderstandings stemming from her past experience from her previous school. But even her tough-lady act could not mask her natural kindness and her delightful personality that made me want to bully my brain into coming up with exceptional ideas just so that she will give me a smile and a thumbs up. Her radiant care and love brought all of us in our best to make her satisfied with her lessons, and even when she messed up with grading our works in time, she admitted her inexperience as she showed her responsibility by publicly apologizing to her students. I have never seen a teacher admitting her faults in front of her class so bravely as her. In this dismal concrete block of a school, where more than 80 percent of the teachers are viewed with disgust and contempt, Miss Latchman is one true sunshine to rain on our growing buds of young students. Even though it has been half a year since my time with Miss Latchman had ended, my connection with her continues and will continue to exist throughout my life. I will cry if she left before I leave this damn school.

Miss Latchman is a superb teacher who gives aim questions that makes you engage into a book. Her love for the reading she teaches spreads like wildfire. Because she was once a Stuyvesant Student, she understands that we all are sometimes busy with other things and will understand if you have complications. Having Ms. Latchman as a teacher was truly a rewarding experience. The amount of hard work and dedication that she put towards teaching us and her high expectations of us made me respect English class more than I ever had before. Ms. Latchman is a affable and understanding person. Although she has only been here for a year, losing her would mean losing a part of Stuyvesant.

Miss Latchman is one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. Being in her English class was an extremely rewarding experience, and it has opened up my eyes to the joy of literature. Her class is thought-provoking and fun, and she genuinely cares about her students, both inside and outside the classroom. I was horrified to find out that she will probably not be teaching at Stuy next year and cannot accept it as fact without a fight. She is the best English teacher I have ever had and it would be a shame if she would not be teach the young minds of Stuyvesant any more.
