I’m filing this petition because I was misled by this female who led me on to believe I was the father of her child so being responsible and stepping up to the plate was the right thing do and I did that. I was there from day one doctor appointments the whole nine yards but I knew eventually I was going to get a DNA test. But she told me if I got at the hospital she would put me on child support that scared me. So I signed the birth certificate and named the child after me thinking he was actually mine. Now here’s the turning point I get the DNA test the results were negative but I was thinking maybe the lab made a mistake so I took another one, negative. These DNA test were $190 each out of my pocket. I told her what I did now she wants to confess, she claims she was raped a few hours after we had sex. But said she thought I was the father because we had sex first, what type of mess is that? So for 11 months she led me on telling me how much she love me and want us to be a family when she knew all along that the child could have been someone else’s. I’m a college student I was trying to balance school, work, and please her all at the same time; I failed three classes throughout this whole process. When the child was born I was there I woke up at four and five in the morning to comfort him when he cried just to find out the child isn’t mine. I’ve lost 11 months of my life that I can’t get back and all I want is my name removed from the birth certificate.
