Although he had a short carreer he drew with or usually actually beat the best! What about the overhyped Bobby Fischer - never played a single game after becoming world champ.

This is long overdue. He was plausibly overlooked then because of his humble origins, nature of job (articles still make it a point to tell us how 'incredible' it was that a 'servant' humbled Capablanca n other GMs); also his own nation at the time was a Colony so there was nobody to back his rightful claim to the GM title. FIDE must rectify this glaring omission, among the obvious reason--Mir Sultan Khan's prowess--a GM title would also give another shot in the arm to the popularity of chess in South Asia.

Sultan Khan was a very strong player and demonstrated exemplary performance in his matches against some of the strongest players in the world. He deserved the GM title!

It is proud to say that a player that was born in india Punjab and dont know how to play international chess he only knows indian chess and when he learn international chess he became champion by beating one of the great player Cabablanca

He truely deserves the title of a GM if not more.Gone through most of his games with top players of his era and have really learned a lot from them,especially when Euwe and Kramer mentioned him in the "MiddleGame in chess".He his a chess hero.

Mir Sultan Khan, is one of the legendary players of all time, and his intuitive and brilliant game, wrote his name among the great gladiators of chess, and he deserves that hour, because it represents in particular the fight of the less deprived in this world ... Viva Mir Sultan Khan !!!
