Minutes Matter: Bring ER Vet Services to Kokomo

ER vet services are needed in Kokomo area that won't break our bank? Also low cost dental for pets.

I feel lucky I haven't required emergency services yet but I did when I lived in Indy. It was very helpful to have one close. I worry if I ever did need one that the ones that are closest are still too far away.

We've had to go to Indianapolis a couple times for emergency pet treatment.

My poodle passed 3 days before christmas this past year because he had bloated and it was after 10:39 at night. Night driving to Lafayette or carmel is not an option for me...I needed a vet here in kokomo

I have had two weekend emergencies that meant trips to Indy with an injured pet. Once we finally got in, the care was excellent, and the price reflected the ER status. But sitting in the waiting room with an injured dog who was in pain and nervous was terrible.

I have owned cats for many years and am frustrated that Kokomo no longer has a local option for emergency care. Several years ago I had to drive to Carmel on a weekend with a cat who suddenly became ill. He ended up dying before we reached the clinic.

Having personally been through the stress of having a dog suddenly start seizing with no prior history or exposure to something that would induce it, calling their vet only to be turned away, then figuring out the best and closest ER in the middle of rush hour, and driving for an hour to get there while praying for the best, I know that having a local ER provider would save lives of animals and keep their caregivers safer and saner.
