I am reaching out to the 2.2 million residents of Houston, and Astro fans across the globe, to help me voice our disgust with the obnoxious eyesore above the left field wall at Minute Maid Park. The massive size alone makes it painful to look at. The realization is that we live in an age where advertising dollars are too important for owners to pass, but please represent our team and city more tastefully. Part of the charm of the stadium has always been Union Station and the train. When Casto hit his Home Run today, and the train horn started to sound, we had to watch the train roll down the track behind this hideous wall of advertising. It was embarrassing. We are so excited with the direction our franchise is heading. From rookie ball to the majors, so many amazing things are happening. I make this promise to our owner Jim Crane, our president Reid Ryan, and anyone else that might have a say in why we must have this giant hanging in left field: Win or lose, I will continue showing up to support our team, but as we continue to put more wins on the board, I promise our attendance will grow. My mission is to get enough people to join me, so that they have no choice but to hear our cry... And in the words of our late great President Reagan we yell, "Mr Crane, tear down that wall!!!"
