My child has went TWO days within the last two weeks of school...returns to school one day and brings another illness back home to miss another four days....other counties within the state of WV have shut down; so what I want to know what is Mingo County’s excuse....

My kids are grown and out of school but I have a granddaughter in first grade at Burch. I think shutting school down for a week is the best bet for the health of all the children and teachers.

Let the students get better at home and take the time to disinfect the schools while they are out.

We get in trouble for keeping our kids home but yet are told not to send them if they are having cold or flu like symptoms... Close the schools and sanitize them

I think that the schools should be closed cause all of the sickness, my sister has stayed sick since this nasty stuff has been going around and now my kids are sick.

Parents be parents! Keep your children home whether they call off school or not. That is how Pike County parents get school called off.

The kids that are sick are getting sent to school where the kids that ain't sick and it's making them sick, therefore no one will get better it's just getting passed back n fourth! These kids need time to get better. I pray for these babies.

My child has been out of school 11 out of 13 days for sickness! The schools need to be cleaned and sanitized for the safety of the children and teachers.

I think its a shame these poor babies can't be home long enough to get completely well after being sick, cause doctors will only give excuses for a day or two, these babies need more time to heal

Both my kids had perfect attendance until this flu epidemic my son got better once went back and got sick again this is beyond ridiculous not only are the kids getting sick now I’m sick it’s spreading to tiny babies elderly people do you people have no hearts or compassion at all!!! Shut the schools down clean and disinfect them and give all these kids parents etc time to recover!!!!
