I am a Grandmother to multiple students in school in Mingo Co.If closing schools for a few days would be beneficial to stopping the spread of the flu,I think it should be done.However students should be sent assignments or given assignments in order to maintain studies.
All the counties around us have shut down due to the sickness but mingo county BOE act like they dont care about our kids. My little girl has the flu now and had to miss all last week it's not fair that these kids are getting behind just because their sick!
I take care of a lady with altzimers, she has a low immune system I'm afraid that my children will pack this mess home, we stay home other than them going to school and church, please close and clean and give this time to die out
My child has went TWO days within the last two weeks of school...returns to school one day and brings another illness back home to miss another four days....other counties within the state of WV have shut down; so what I want to know what is Mingo County’s excuse....
Yes my daughter just went back to school from being sick she been there a week and now has flu A my son also has. Flu A and strep.. the school needs shut down at least a few days or a week.. we have snow days and NTI days we could use..
Close the school down every body is sick

Since coming back from break both my babies have dealt with strep, Flu A & Flu B.. They can't take much else let's get the place clean an kill out this crap so everyone's children can catch a break from illness & actually get to learn
