Find another solution to solve the problem of lost instructional days....this is an event which in my opinion is an instructional day...come on...what is going on?

i am not a mingo county resident but my nephew goes to a mingo county school and i wouldnt want something taken from him, so there for i dont want it taken from other kids this is just stupif

I'm with the guy who says if they cancel Special Olympics they should cancel regular sports events.

This is not an activity that can be taken away. This is as much of a learning opportunity as going to school is. If you cancel this just go ahead and cancel baseball season, prom, and graduation.

This was not a well thought out move. The BoE is begging to get sued for discrimination.

Just because these babies have special needs doesn't make them any different than any other child. I think if they cancell this event then they should cancell all sports events. It's just not far to take this once a year event from our special needs children when they have other sporting event all year long. This is disgraceful by all means.

I'm so upset about this! These kids deserve to have the opportunity to shine! As a future educator, with a passion for all special needs, this saddens me greatly! Shame on the BOE...give them back their day!
