Over the last year I started using mindfulness meditation to lower stress and strengthen focus. I have greatly benefitted from this mentally and spiritually.
From this experience I've started a club this year (name: TBD) based on the daily practice of mindful meditation.
I was first introduced to this idea of meditation through a TED talk (link below) which led me to an app called Headspace, a guided course in meditation. A US study found that just 4 days of 20 minutes per day mindfulness training improved working memory and the ability to sustain attention. It's a great way to get together, relax, and let go of the stress of life.
