Mimi's is a proven success story and has a great reputation. It is exactly the sort of business that Corstorphine needs.

Corstorphine is full of hairdressers, charity shops and pubs. I don't understand why a cake shop would be refused planning permission!
The area greatly needs a better variety of shops and eating places.
Find it bizarre that McDonalds and JD Wetherspoons can monopolise the city yet the council won't support local businesses.

I absolutely love Mimi's! Corstorphine could do with a fabulous bakery like they can provide. I'm amazed the original application has been recommended to be rejected. Edinburgh councillors obviously allow stupid amounts of hair salons and charity shops in the area. Yet a chance to get one of the best bakeries in Edinburgh is not instantly snapped up? I don't get it. I hope the councillors make the right decision in the end.

I think Mimis would be a fantastic addition to the area. In my opinion I have been saddened to see the variety of businesses decline in recent years and as a result I rarely visit, preferring to go further into town. This would absolutely make me return.

It's bringing more business to Edinburgh......no brainer. Do the crooked council officials want a backhander.

This would be a fantastic and much needed addition to Corstorphine. I live locally and we need more places like this to breath life back into it. We don't need any more supermarkets or charity shops!

I think mimi's would be a fantastic addition to Corstorphine and the high street would really benefit from it opening.

Mimi's is one of the best things Edinburgh has going for it - and that's saying something! It would certainly improve corstorphines high street that currently has many fast food chains, pound shops and charity shops. Why do these certain shops appear to get priority over family run, independent companies? Come on Edinburgh council, use your heads!

A fantastic professionally run business that can only be a positive for Corstorphine.

The fact that this even needs petitioned is a bloody disgrace. The council should be supporting successful small private enterprises which will also improve the very essence of the communities they serve. Shame on you Edinburgh Council.

All we have is charity shops and hairdressers breath some life into the local community again by giving a nice coffee shop to us.

I would like to support this local family business and think that opening this new store would be an excellent addition to Corstorphine . I would definitely be a customer.

There is nowhere large enough for my mummy friends (and 5 buggies) to meet in Corstorphine. Yes there are many cafes but we have tried most of them - they are not buggy or breast friendly and we have often made the trip (in 5 cars) to Leith. Please let mimis open.

I love mimi's and work in this area so would welcome this to the area as it is close to work and closer to home than there other branches. Please bring mimi's here!!!
