We, the undersigned, urge East Dunbartonshire Council to play an active part in the humanitarian response to the current Refugee Crisis. Specifically, we urge EDC to welcome refugee families to the family-friendly community of Milngavie, where people of good-will and sufficient means will be able to play their part meaningfully. Our local primary schools have the capacity to comfortably welcome 40-60 children, or more, and the community would welcome the opportunity to help our suffering brothers and sisters. If EDC can show the political will, the logistical problems can be overcome - We Shall Overcome!

Many many of us are descended from imigrants. It is our absolute responsibility to help those in such need.
I urge East Dunbartonshire Council to give due and proper consideration to accommodate refugee families into our community
We have room in our hearts and our community to help these people who are desperate. East Dunbartonshire Council please take a stand , we cannot sit by and watch
In such a strong wealthy community we should extend our hands to displaced persons who need our help.
