Absolutely disgraceful encouraging animal cruelty for both greyhounds and hares. It must be stopped.

Keep the park open to our community, so sad to see the gates chained yesterday morning and the park desolate. It’s normally such a central part of the community for young and old. Our footpaths and roads aren’t great for folks to exercise on.

How is it that a PUBLIC park can be closed to an entire community over the Holidays in the midst of a Pandemic where open air spaces are more important than ever to facilitate a barbaric blood where our native Irish hares (a protected species!) are terrified and tortured for the amusement of a small community of coursing people? The vast majority of Irish people want the blood sport banned, to then steal a public space to facilitate it is a kick in the face. #PROTECTOURPARK #BANHARECOURSING
