Due to our school becoming an IB school our schedule has undergone some serious adjustments. Despite the fact that only a small fraction of the young adults at our school are involved in the IB diploma program. Due to this schedule change kids are being over worked, and so are teachers. Although this schedule may seem like an intelligent alternative to the mandatory schedule for the programs that have been put into affect at Millbrook, in all reality teachers think we have more time to do our work and we end up swamped. Not only is our work load tremendously larger, but the teachers workload is as well. Having twice the number of kids as they had in previous years allows little room for the teachers to get to know their kids or to give extra help. Not to mention the turn around rate for graded work has doubled because of the increased volume of work each teacher has to grade.
